:- 1.0 out of 5 stars from Tabe -- This book is terrible. Just terrible. : I was around for the original Rubik's Cube craze in 1981 and learned to solve the cube back then. I watched Minh Thai on "That's Incredible" on his way to being the first world record holder. I took up speedcubing a few years ago after reading "Cracking the Cube". Through all of this I've been fascinated by the enigmatic Erno Rubik. Being from Hungary, he was always a bit of a mystery to those of us in the US. So, when I heard he had written a book, I was eager to pick it up. Unfortunately, I ultimately ended up being terribly disappointed. ( Reviewed in the United States on August 4, 2021 )

- 5.0 out of 5 stars from Lee Henderson -- I absolutely LOVED this book! : Erno Rubik is a wonderful writer and storyteller and I was so glad to finally get a glimpse into his life and way of thinking. I absolutely LOVED this book! There was so much to think about and I might honestly have to read it again, someday soon. This is an incredibly wise, thoughtful book by a wise, thoughtful man *and* an incredible inventor who changed the course of puzzle/toy history. And, of course, in between my time with this book, I worked on solving my Rubik's Cube. I'm still not done (with the Cube). I finished the book a couple of days ago. Vitale -- Absolutely Fascinating Read! : I listened to the unabridged audio version of Cubed: The Puzzle of Us All by Erno Rubik and narrated by Alistair Petrie with my husband, which is pretty wonderful as my husband is not an avid reader like myself. However, I was able to easily convince him to do something different to celebrate Christmas Eve last year since we weren't celebrating the holiday with family and friends in the usual way due to pandemic... So, we celebrated Christmas Eve by observing the Icelandic tradition known as Jolabokaflod (Christmas Book Flood) by starting to listen to Cubed: The Puzzle of Us All by Erno Rubik together.
